MoU with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) formed a knowledge partnership and research collaboration with ICAI-CMA and signed an MoU in this regard under the initiative of the School of Commerce on May 21, 2022. The signing ceremony took place amidst a prestigious gathering at the Capitol Hotel in Bengaluru, graced by esteemed dignitaries and representatives from both organisations.

MoU with UPL University of Sustainability Technology (UUST)

Marking a significant milestone in interdisciplinary education, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, and UPL University of Sustainable Technology, Gujarat, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the JAIN Kochi campus on September 30, 2024. 

Initiated by the School of Commerce, this collaboration aims to strengthen industry-focused programs, consultancy services, and promote economic and educational growth in both Kerala and Gujarat. 

The MoU was signed in the presence of dignitaries including Dr. K. Madhukumar (Joint Controller of Examinations), Dr. R. Sathikumar (Dean – Student Affairs), Dr. K. Sreekumar (Professor & Deputy Director, School of Commerce) from JAIN University, and Mr. Ashok Panjwani (President, UUST & Executive Director, UPL), Dr. Shrikant Wagh (Provost), and Dr. Snehal Lokhandwala (Dean – Sciences) from UPL University. 

The felicitation was led by Dr. M. P. Sukumaran Nair (Former Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Govt. of Kerala), with faculty, staff, and students from JAIN University also in attendance.

MoU between Kudumbashree Mission and 18 leading national institutions

We are proud to announce that JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, had the honour of hosting the state-level Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony as part of the Kudumbashree Mission Technology Conclave 2025 (K-TAP)—a pioneering initiative aimed at revolutionising Kerala’s agricultural sector through technological integration and collaborative partnerships.   

At the heart of this landmark event was the formal signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the Kudumbashree Mission and 18 leading national institutions, each bringing domain expertise and innovation to the table. These partnerships are set to accelerate the adoption of advanced agri-tech solutions, promote sustainable farming practices, and empower women-led agripreneurship initiatives across the state.

Some of the 18 national institutions include:
  • ICAR-CTCRI, ICAR-CPCRI, ICAR-NRCB
  • CSIR-CFTRI, CSIR-NIIST
  • NIFTEM, KAU, JNTBGRI
  • MSSRF, MGU, Kerala State Biodiversity Board
  • And JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, is notably the first private university in Kerala to be included in this MoU network.

MoU with Confederation of Indian Industry - Total Cost Management (CII-TCM) Division

To strengthen industry-academia collaboration, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry – Total Cost Management (CII-TCM) Division on November 8, 2022, at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai. The agreement focused on a knowledge partnership, joint organisation of training programs, and short-term academic courses on TCM concepts for CFOs/CXOs. 

Esteemed representatives from the CII-TCM Division and JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) shared insights on bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry experience.

Erasmus+ Collaboration with Veleučilište u Požegi, Croatia: Expanding Global Learning Horizons

The Erasmus+ programme (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), established in 1987 and managed by the European Union, focuses on education, training, youth, and sport to enhance skills and employability. Under this initiative, our university entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Veleučilište u Požegi, Croatia, enabling participation in international teaching and student mobility programmes. 

In 2022, Dr. Simmy Kurian participated in the faculty exchange visit, organised from 7th to 12th March at Pozega County, Croatia. The programme commenced with an orientation session, where Vice-Dean Dr. Berislav Andrlić presented an overview of Veleučilište u Požegi. Dr. Marko Sostar, Erasmus Coordinator, briefed participants on the teaching schedule and funding formalities, while Ms. Ivana Mikic, International Cooperation Officer, assisted with banking and documentation processes. The host institution welcomed participants from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Brazil, and India. Dr Simmy Kurian, also gave a presentation about the university and presented an overview of the Indian education system as well as the University programs. Later in the week she engaged in sessions with the Croatian students of management and delivered a course on cultural intelligence. 

Following the faculty exchange, two final-year BA–Triple Main students — Ms. Hiba Afraa Aijaz Ahammed Khan and Mr. Zayed Bin Waleed Puthiya Palat, both from the Department of Management, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), India — participated in a three-month student mobility programme from 14th March to 14th June 2022. This provided them with international academic exposure, cultural exchange opportunities, and valuable intercultural competencies, contributing to their personal and professional development.
