Outcome-Based Education (OBE)

JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, hosted a 5-day workshop on Outcome-based Education (OBE) for its faculty members. Each of the sessions was conducted in two phases. The workshop on OBE was meticulously structured to provide comprehensive insights into Outcome-based Education. Phase 1 of the workshop saw meaningful insights by resource persons Dr. Sangeeta Devanathan and Dr. N Beemkumar. Key topics covered involved -

Planning at the department level
Planning at the course level (TLEP)
Attainment calculation
Continuous improvement
The Phase 2 of the session spanned 3 days and was led by Dr. Sudarshan Shesanna, Dr. Ravikumar, and Dr. Shweta Singh. Focus of this phase in the OBE workshop was -

Transdisciplinary Project Centric Learning (TD-PCL)
Data collection and mentee assessment
Functioning of mentor assessment labs
Patents facilitated by Ennoble IP
As the faculty at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi participated in a session involving an overview of patents, Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), trademarks, and copyrights, the session closed with enlightened faculty on various Outcome-based Education insights.

The sessions were enriched by the contributions of the Hon. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Raj Singh, who, with his extensive experience, added significant value to the learning process.
