The B.Sc. Marine Science students of Jain University Kochi, embarked on an enriching academic visit to FORV Sagar Sampada on April 1, 2026, gaining rare first-hand exposure to one of India’s premier fisheries and oceanographic research vessels, operated by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
From exploring advanced onboard scientific equipment to understanding real-time fisheries assessment and oceanographic data collection, the experience brought textbook concepts to life in the most inspiring way.
This immersive learning journey not only deepened their academic understanding but also opened doors to the dynamic world of marine and oceanographic research - fueling curiosity, passion, and future aspirations at sea.
