Bridging the Gap: From Theory to Forensic Reality

The 4th Semester B.Sc. Applied Forensic Science students at JAIN University, Kochi, recently completed an immersive field visit to the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Trivandrum.

The visit focused on Forensic Ballistics, providing students with a rare, behind-the-scenes look at ballistic analysis and its critical role in the justice system. We were honored to have Dr. Sahra Muhammad, Assistant Director of the Department of Ballistics, lead an expert session. Her insights into real-world case studies and practical ballistic applications provided our students with a profound understanding of the field.
