HYACON 1 Recommendations Presented to Union Environment Minister

Ambassador (Retd.) Venu Rajamony, Chairman of Future Kerala Mission, met Union Environment Minister Shri. Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi and submitted the recommendations from HYACON 1, the International Conference on the Water Hyacinth Menace jointly organized by Future Kerala Mission and JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi.
The recommendations call for a dedicated authority to coordinate water hyacinth management and for its integration into a comprehensive wetland conservation policy. The Minister assured that the proposals would be examined for further action.
