The Capacity Building Training Programme on Sustainable Product Development using Water Hyacinth - 3rd Edition

The third batch of the Capacity Building Training Programme on Value Addition of Water Hyacinth commenced at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, with the support of NETFISH–MPEDA. The inaugural session included the distribution of starter kits by Dr. Madhukumar, Joint Controller of Examinations and Head of Administration, JAIN University, Kochi, in the presence of Smt. Sangeetha N. R., State Coordinator, Kerala South, NETFISH–MPEDA.

Led by Prof. Dr. G. Nagendra Prabhu and Dr. C. P. Resmi, the programme aims to transform water hyacinth into sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill development and innovation. Jointly implemented by NETFISH–MPEDA and the Future Kerala Mission of JAIN University, Kochi, the initiative continues to empower communities by turning an invasive plant into a source of income, dignity, and social impact.
